I can’t see the flailing figure of Ronaldo anywhere. Presumably he’s within pleading distance of the ref, or else off-screen and about to score a hat-trick
@Fast Eddie
you are wrong eddie…ronaldo is the one standing next to puyol in front of the barca goal, with his hands on the hips while the rest of the team wins the ball back and feeds this gift from god to us (although messi does not recall sending us any gifts)
Brian, I would love a piece discussing today’s Clasico. Watching I felt as if something important and unique was happening on some level, and the thoughts of one of the world’s best football scribes would be greatly appreciated.
@Ben80 I completely agree. Brian, could we get some intelligent review? I was watching in a bar in Addis Ababa, and everyone in the establishment was moved emotionally by the artful play of Barca.
A delicious game that was simply a delight to watch. Barca were, to reach for a term from my schoolboy days, just pure class. So much so that even Zonal Marking were moved to note that their victory was not “inherently tactical”
Nice piece of artwork, but does it seem to anyone else like Lionel Messi and Yaya Toure have switched positions? I don’t think Pep would go for that.

Nice piece of artwork, but does it seem to Dave like Seydou Keita and Yaya Toure have switched teams? I think Mancini would go for that.
@Dave’s Football Blog Yaya Toure isnt even on the team anymore
Haha these are excellent. I love his paintings 😀

Simply one of the most sumptuous footballing expositions I have ever witnessed.

Really great stuff. I saw this on twitter and loved all of the pictures he has done. A great match as well so the hype was warranted.

It was the kind of beauty that reminds us all why we love this game so much.
