It was deleted last autumn to make way for the follow-up single, “Please Be Kissing Me Sexy Sexy Baby”, which was basically the same song with slightly different lyrics, and was a flop. Due to a clerical oversight, “I Love You Kissy Kissy Baby” is still available on the Belarussian iTunes, if you can find a proxy IP address. Be sure to check out the Avalanches mix, which only took them six years to complete.

Torres’ continental-ness, to use Liddle’s word, is akin to that of a female exchange student. Ronaldo pushes buttons Torres doesn’t. He dives and grimaces — somehow a less acceptable form of cheating than others — and he proclaims his greatness and he gets photographed having his stomach rubbed by a topless masseur in Las Vegas and it gets up a lot of people’s noses. I’d like to think he does it all on purpose just to annoy the type of people that would be annoyed by it; I mean, he had to have known there were paparazzi in the vicinity…

I suppose it’s a bit of a cliché about Trout Mask Replica, but after I listened to bits of it about a dozen times, something clicked into place. It almost trains you on how to listen to itself.

I don’t know. Fernando Torres is pretty continental with his frosted hair and headband. The difference is he doesn’t dive and he doesn’t grimace for 90 seconds to sell the dive.

There is the Axis of Pretty and the Axis of Prick and most people can find some redemption if they aren’t at the extreme of end of both. Like say…Cristiano Ronaldo.

Anyway, C-Ron has tons of fans, just not so much among writers and pundits because a bad heel, however talented, just isn’t that great of a story.
