The only reason the Sonics won a title in '79 was because the Bill "the Golden Ginger" Walton had cruddy ankles. Rip City. RCTID.

The Storm locked up a title 2004, but I suppose that's beneath *your* notice.

Brent:

I assumed that Caleb was referring to Casey Keller, balding goalkeeper-cum-striker (in the mold of Chilavert) and bastard child of Conor Casey and Kasey Keller. But I have been wrong before.

"King County has not a single major title to crow about."

To be fair, the Sonics did win a championship in '79.

Only to move 30 years later.

Your Seattle Supersonics won the '79 NBA title. So it's not quite an 0-fer.

Also, it's Kasey Keller.

p.s. while Keller and the Fred*s get the big attention, a lot of the not-so-casuals are starting to jostle for first place in line for the first Osvaldo Alonso shirt.

Flyover states? You sound like my friend from Mercer Island. I will have you know that Oklahoma City has more Waffle Houses (WAHOs) per capita than any other city in Oklahoma. There are also casinos.

The Jaqua and Montero signings were fantastic, although Ljunberg will soon find himself in Becks territory: his passing and vision are beyond his teammates. Welcome to frustration city, population you.
