Alex, I can't help it if all the best pop music is made by Swedish high-school students.

Here are links to videos for these songs for anyone who's still curious:

Asteroids Galaxy Tour

Those Dancing Days

The second one is just a cheesy visualization. But somehow it kind of works.

Amalfitano, it's definitely an uninviting game for a novice. Fortunately it's also extremely frustrating and emotionally brutalizing, which makes the moments of success irrationally rewarding, which makes it addictive, which means you'll spend a lot of time playing it and will learn the ropes faster than you'd think.

I don't know of any good newbie guides, but there are lots of forums and websites where you can pick up tips. I wrote more about this and linked to some good sources of information in this comment. Keep us posted if you do decide to try it out!

Actually, I was going to ask for the song titles myself. This is not the first time I have searched out the music in your posts! Be encouraged by the fact that I might buy some of it, all thanks to RoP!

Speaking of your future commercial endorsements, I am enamored by the idea of Football Manager, but I tried the demo and it was quite daunting. Is there a proper tutorial? Any advice here in the comments for a shameless novice? Should I go 30 dollars down and refine my management skills on the go?

Oh wow Brian, you do fancy those Scandanavians, don't you? Maybe an Ibrahimovic highlight reel set to "The Final Countdown" is in the works?

New here at RoP, but I'm loving these Championship Manager highlights. They may even improve my own coaching.

That's a great idea, and I'll do it in the future. The songs here are "Around the Bend" by the Asteroids Galaxy Tour [link] and "Dischoe" by Those Dancing Days [link], in the first and second videos respectively.

You pick good music, both in general, and in relation to the videos (though I'm not sure how well a soundtrack can jive with a set of moving pixels, but that's an argument for another time). You should list the songs you use under the videos - makes things a hell of a lot easier for those of us who have to go googling ambiguously muttered lines followed by the word "lyrics."
