The Run of Play is a blog about
the wonder and terror of soccer.
We left the window open during a match in October 2007 and a strange wind blew into the room.
Now we walk the forgotten byways of football with a lonely tread, searching for the beautiful, the bewildering, the haunting, and the absurd.
Contrary to some of the reports released yesterday, the Robinho camp is now saying that Robinho was not required to give a DNA sample to the police when he was questioned and did not pay a surety to be released (in other words, he isn’t out on bail). Obviously we can’t know what happened or what a just outcome would be in this case, but I’d say the odds that he’s going to be charged are looking very, very slim.
