i'm thrilled to have defoe back, even though we paid portsmouth 7.5 million to babysit him for a year.

i'd like to think this isn't "bungling another episode" but patching up an episode previously bungled. spurs never should have sold him in the first place, particularly as berbatov was always going to leave this summer.

on the bright side, with defoe in, appiah potentially on his way, and a left winger on the horizon (for the first time in god knows how long), the club is finally looking at transfer targets in positions we need to fill, rather than collecting attacking midfielders.
