Note that the foul is so flagrant that the two players appear to have become superimposed on one another and to occupy the same physical space. Not even the Varese manager could complain after such an obvious "fusion tackle" two yards from the referee. And clearly inside the line. And anyway, if the officials aren't going to protect our players from the dirty physical tactics of negative, bullying teams, then what can we do but submit a video dossier to the league and leak word of it to our friend at Worldsoccer.com, who is, if I may say so, one of the finest reporters currently covering the game?
