Hypozeugma of the Day Courtesy of Petr Čech and the Telegraph

Petr Čech is one of my favorite players, and Duncan White’s profile of him in the Telegraph today is a really good read. But the headline writer didn’t do it any favors by appending it to this unwittingly incongruous comparison:

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech admits that head injury and fatherhood changed his life.

Although come to think of it, I’ve known fathers who wouldn’t see any incongruity here at all. Maybe the headline writer has a two-year-old?
