I think this storyline is airtight compared to the drivel on television and 90% of films.

Just the other day Santi and I did the same thing, but the only difference is 1) We are broke and neither owns a cellphone camera to capture the feat, and 2) I actually hit3 out of 4 claypigeons.

And don't trust any post by an individual posing as Santiago which may speak to the contrary, perchance claiming we "do not live in the same city" or other logistical questions.

The storyline matters because the storyline is there. This is the sort of detached fragment that we're constantly being called on to process, and as the processing has become more instinctive---and thus less critical---the nature of what we're being asked to process has become incrementally more bizarre. To an ad producer I doubt that's of any significance at all, but to a person caught in the blizzard of contemporary marketing it might be interesting to think about.

Oye, the mere fact that an add from adidas disrupts your ontology is of no consequence. Wheter or not you coutenance the veracity of Gerrard's accomplishment matters not. So jog on son, and yes the 2005 Champions League win was very real, its a damn commercial ontological discrepancies should not even arise.

I'm reminded of the debate a few years ago over that Ronaldinho ad in which he repeatedly hits the crossbar - you couldn't go anywhere on the footie-loving internets without seeing people arguing over whether it was real or fake.

You seem to think that Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso ever do anything other than ride around Liverpool scheming up new ideas and wearing their training gear. Removing those clothes (especially for Gerrard) would result in an identity crisis of unparalleled proportions.
