I can recall watching so many Liverpool games where 'feeling' the match made it such a better experience. When I look back on to Liverpool's glory days as a newer fan who can only experience those games and victories from my spot here in the future, I feel a little bit alienated from my club. Sure, I'm glad Liverpool were a really great team back then, but they weren't my great team and I don't own those victories (or losses) in the same way that I own the hours of anxious semi-final boredom against Chelsea for example.
