Not only Zlatan but I think the whole San Siro and everyone watching on TV became still for a few moments just to register what had transpired.

The best thing about that goal by a mile is Zlatan's own utter disbelief and joy at what just happened. How can anyone resist that grin?

As I've said elsewhere, he tries something like that at least once a half (not necessarily a shot, but often a pass). Perhaps his greatest strengthsis his martial arts-honed ability to maintain his balance, control and power in freakish positions; this move is much more Capoeira than Calcio.

And yet, it often fails miserably (which usually leads to a head shake and short sulk, thereby driving the crowd at the Meazza to distraction).

Of course, the night that he pulls it off to spectacular effect is one that I was stuck in the office instead of at the ground.

At least until the football copyright police submit their DMCA request and get it taken down.

Martin Skrtel attempted a similar contortion today. That didn't work out so well for him...
