However money does not a great football club necessarily make; I know everyone uses Chelsea as an example but it's not like Chelsea were Milwall, or PNE, or yes, Manchester City. I think Man City will act as a case study in history's resistance to globalization's magic money wand. If you buy it, they won't necessarily come (fans, players etc.), even if you have some posh motorbikes with a couple of nike swooshes thrown in to boot. This year it's doubtful, Robinho or not. Next year? that'll be tough to pull off, but I guess it depends on what players they bring in after all the promises. Personally I don't see a C.Ron, Robinho, Kaka, Torres, Villa team winning too much, considering they'll ship about 6 goals against per match. I feel bad for poor City supporters.
