I have a horrible feeling that this tournament has almost used up its quota of remarkable games and moments, the kind that, as you say, "overcome even the skepticism induced by your average match hype" in a way that's so refreshing after the club season. It's almost indecently invigorating, what's been packed into these first nine days, and there's a nagging, Catholic guilt part of my brain which is telling me it's not going to last.
