It *was* dramatic -- boy, that Fabregas kid knows how to get his hands dirty -- and Chelsea are always so good when they come flying out of the docks with their fangs bared and ears pressed flat to the sides of their head. I remember squealing, "give them a little space, it's not like their finishing isn't famously lousy!" at them once or twice. I also felt sorry for Sheva. But in the end the most satisfying thing about the whole sham, for me, was the completely unchanged top of the table. On the whole, a night to rue the fact that I didn't get Samp-Fiorentina on cable, though. [Antonio Cassano had a crazy crying fit! Football has grown too small for that man.] I may have been too harsh. Not quite the footballing display of Milan, but in a wild-shots, all-angles, up-for-grabs-till-the-end way, it was entertaining, at least. Although maybe I was just so demoralized by the Liverpool-Man Utd torture that any game in which actual sprinting took place was going to look like the '86 World Cup final to me. I can't remember the last Big Four game I saw that I enjoyed that didn't have Thierry Henry dancing on the touchline.
