I may have been too harsh. It *was* dramatic -- boy, that Fabregas kid knows how to get his hands dirty -- and Chelsea are always so good when they come flying out of the docks with their fangs bared and ears pressed flat to the sides of their head. I remember squealing, "give them a little space, it's not like their finishing isn't famously lousy!" at them once or twice. I also felt sorry for Sheva. But in the end the most satisfying thing about the whole sham, for me, was the completely unchanged top of the table. On the whole, a night to rue the fact that I didn't get Samp-Fiorentina on cable, though. [Antonio Cassano had a crazy crying fit! Football has grown too small for that man.]

Ros --- I don't know, I thought the Arsenal-Chelsea game was fun. Not quite the footballing display of Milan, but in a wild-shots, all-angles, up-for-grabs-till-the-end way, it was entertaining, at least. Although maybe I was just so demoralized by the Liverpool-Man Utd torture that any game in which actual sprinting took place was going to look like the '86 World Cup final to me.

A. --- But it's January there, right?

Milan are practically unstoppable when the game opens up. They are unstoppable because they have Kaka. He is surely the most devastating player on the tear away break or in space, bar none.

P.S. I think it's Tuesday tomorrow.

That Boca-Milan match, defensively woeful as it was, was the only good thing about the entire evening. I saw things like you wouldn't believe. Things like -- acres of space for the Milan midfield! Who does that shiz anymore?

Grand Slam Sundays, why do you never live up to your promise? I can't remember the last Big Four game I saw that I enjoyed that didn't have Thierry Henry dancing on the touchline.

I kind of worry for the world, though, cf. this dirty, dogged full-strength Arsenal.

Linda --- Good morning!

Em --- Go to sleep! It's only football. And really, the Liverpool-Man Utd match was barely even that.

As much as I detest Italian football, I have to be pleased that Boca got their cajones handed to them. To be honest, I wanted to shiv myself the entire time I was watching those two games, and now I think I will retire for the morning. Today is obviously not a good day for me, football-wise, and I think I will accept that and pass out accordingly.

Struggling to wake up...struggling to wake up...where am I?

--- Brian, and/or the entire Boca team

EDIT: Kaka just broke out the "I Belong to Jesus" shirt. I think I just officially woke up.
