		<description>John &#8212; The biggest reason I&#039;ve held out hope for him is that his performances for Ukraine during the Euro qualifiers (when he was fit, at least) showed him as at least the distant cousin of his old self.  But I&#039;m afraid you&#039;re right.  His legs look jellied, and I doubt he&#039;ll be given much more time to convince Chelsea that they aren&#039;t.

Like you, I enjoy watching the old Shevchenko but he is not the same now and it is not Chelsea&#039;s fault. In the World Cup last year, there were already glimpses of his growing penchant for being a pedestrain.
